company
The origin of MCIS, Incorporated dates back 25 years and is rooted
in industrial scale Electrical Engineering. In 1996 the ownership of MCIS closely
monitored the move by the FCC to allocate spectrum for use in an unlicensed
manner.
When radios that utilized unlicensed spectrum became commercially
available
and Value Added Resellers (VARs) rushed to deliver low
cost bandwidth to the market, system failures were commonplace.
These failures were due to a lack of RF engineering experience and
manufacturers touting “plug-n-play” wireless equipment. Many
systems were deployed with little or no engineering and superficial
understanding of RF and electromagnetic propagation fundamentals.
In April of 2000, MCIS incorporated to serve the growing demand
for engineered, highly reliable and secure wireless communication
systems in both the licensed and unlicensed spectrum.
FACT: Microwave communications, system design
and implementation are complex and require engineering and field
experience to deliver a deterministic system (where reliability is
known).
Our technical foundation is in engineering secure and highly
reliable microwave communication systems for the US military. We
are committed to the professional processes, conservative modeling
algorithms, advanced degreed engineers, and the investment is
high-rel test equipment needed to deliver engineering excellence.
To maintain our 100% documented success for wireless system
deployments, MCIS has appropriately staffed with RF Engineers,
wireless technicians, installation crews and certified tower
climbers. Additionally, in partnership with its affiliate companies,
TEAMWORKnet and Team Power Solutions, MCIS delivers total
electrical, grounding, lightning suppression and construction
management expertise. Under its holding company, Fortune 7, Inc.,
and in partnership with its affiliates, MCIS assumes total
accountability for each system delivered. Our engineer-build-maintain
capability ensures project success and clear project accountability.
As you consider your investment in wireless communication, please
recognize that process, backed by appropriate engineering, is
essential for success. MCIS does not get involved in “throw it up
and see if it works” projects. Each of our installations is
approached with a solid process that has proven successful in
delivering predictable results and client satisfaction.
Specifically, MCIS adheres to the project steps outlined below:
- Needs Assessment and Goal Alignment
- Feasibility and Cost/Performance Analysis
- Project Engineering and Design
- Implementation, Acceptance Testing and Commissioning
- On-going support programs
Technology is evolving and the landscape continues to increase in
complexity. We trust you recognize that our in-house team and
qualified engineering is the key to success for you and our
company. It is our corporate commitment to protect your investment
by maintaining a 100% success rate for the systems we deploy.
An analogy that fits well with our industry is this: “Would you
construct a building without a blueprint supported by sound
structural engineering”. It is just as unwise to build or ask
for construction bids for a communications system without the
engineering and design phases.
We continue to enhance and extend our expertise and welcome the
opportunity to discuss how we can help you achieve your functional
and financial goals.
Thank you for your interest in and support of MCIS Incorporated.
