resource at the early stages of any project to ensure that a mutually understood
structure is in place, the key components of which are:
Business Case – the reasons for the project and the justification for
undertaking the project, based on the estimated costs, the risks and the
expected business benefits;
Organization – a team structure that supports; roles for decision makers,
management by exception and delegation;
Communication – defining the lines and methods of communication
between the project management team members;
Planning – describing how, when and by whom a target or set of targets is
to be achieved;
Controls – ensuring that the next level up in the project management team
can; monitor progress, compare achievement with the plan and detect problems;
Risk Management – having access to up-to-date information about risk and
having a process in place to analyze, evaluate, deal with and monitor risks;
Quality Management – having a process in place to ensure that

Establishing these components from the outset and revisiting them throughout the
project lifecycle is fundamental to our project management approach and helps
ensure the successful delivery of projects for our clients.
